I just updated to kernel 3.5.0-27, rebooted, and then got stuck at a blank black screen after grub.
I am using a lenovo T530
> lspci | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller (rev 09)
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GF108 [Quadro NVS 5400M] (rev a1)
Using grub advanced options to boot using 3.5.0-26 works.
