Thanks for your thoughts - it's good to keep things in perspective. My point is more that rapid adoption of Ubuntu would be achieved faster if these recurring 'bugs' with flagship hardware could be sorted out. That said, I'm a fairly happy Ubuntu user, and have been using it since 8.10. Not much chance of that changing anytime soon, but would be good for this recurring bug to get sorted. My workaround has been to stick with an earlier kernel. Cheers. D
