and will see if the error reappears. In the few days since I got the computer, I have had this issue a couple of times a day, so after a day or two of usage I should see if the issue is now fixed.
Btw, yesterday I took my laptop out of the docking station. I first used it with an external projector and shut it down; this morning I used it without anything attached first, then dropped it into the docking station (while running). As I reconfigured the displays, the mouse started acting up again. So there is a chance that the display applet does something which triggers the error.
