cannot connect to wifi router in 802.11n mode

Bug Description
I am not able to connect to a 802.11n router even though I have a capable adapter.
I tried install rt2870sta but that did not work.
The driver which is currently being used is rt2800usb.
I can connect to the network as 802.11g where the network is crippled!
