That setting doesn't seem to help much, if at all. the cpu is still mostly staying on the lowest setting and I'm still dropping frames. Right now I'm using this video as a test, because it has a lot of pans which make dropped frames more obvious: http://www.myfoxla.com/dpp/news/local/California_Ghost_Towns_20090511

I get an "Invalid Argument" error if I try to set the sampling rate lower than 40000

I can understand the power-saving issue, but I'm on AC power.
