There is no switch in my BIOS to disable the discrete graphics card, so no, this is no option.

And with seeing the changes that are coming up in Kernel 1.12 and 1.13, where VGAswitcheroo is to be ignored I don't know if it's worth the trouble.

But disabling the graphics-card with an upstart-job is good enough till above mentioned kernels are available.
