As well, given the issue appears to be identified with vgaswitcheroo not quite being free of causing collatoral damage, and you have what appears to be an acceptable alternative to disabling your graphics card, would you like to pursue a fix for this, or would disabling the garphics card via upstart-job be considered a solution?
