Bug Description
With the latest version of ubuntu I'm seeing problems with intellij idea getting stuck at times (seemingly on file I/O). When I killed the process and restarted it, during the scanning of files it does at startup the screen switched to a framebuffer with the output in attachment.
I could switch back to vt7 okay and continue working though (did not reboot before reporting this). This bug appears related to #1047261, since I still now and then see output like:
ecryptfs_
in syslog.
I'm sorry I do not have a more specific testcase, the code it was trying to load in (including maven artifacts) you can find at https:/
Attached is everything from the header line:
[14336.045366] BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 0000000000000030
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04
Package: ecryptfs-utils 96-0ubuntu3
ProcVersionSign
Uname: Linux 3.2.0-31-generic x86_64
ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu13
Architecture: amd64
Date: Tue Oct 2 13:57:31 2012
EcryptfsInUse: Yes
InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release amd64 (20101007)
SourcePackage: ecryptfs-utils
UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to precise on 2012-06-11 (112 days ago)
Forgot to mention, I believe it's related to the "fsnotifier64" binary IDEA uses to scan and index files. Restarting the application works, but it gets stuck while trying to execute that there, so it seems to be doing something ecryptfs just can't deal with.
