Bug Description
Platform: MicroServer BordenVille
Graphic: ast's external card
OS: Ubuntu 12.10
symptom: when it boot 12.10 in run level 5, X windows can't start successfully, the screen is colorful in first seconds then change to black. But it boot 12.04 has no problem.
reason: the ast's drm driver runs in 12.10, but doesn't run in 12.04. the ast's drm driver maybe exist bug, move it to black list. then this problem disappear.
suggestion: move ast's drm driver into black list in 12.10

I can run apport-collect 1053290, but apport-collect doesn't terminate for a long time. I paste lspci, demsg and xorg.0.log.

DRM_AST appears to be marked EXPERIMENTAL. As such, lets disable it for now in Quantal as it appears to be problematic.
config DRM_AST
tristate "AST server chips"
depends on DRM && PCI && EXPERIMENTAL
select DRM_TTM
select FB_SYS_COPYAREA
select FB_SYS_FILLRECT
select FB_SYS_IMAGEBLIT
select DRM_KMS_HELPER
select DRM_TTM

Say yes for experimental AST GPU driver. Do not enable
this driver without having a working -modesetting,
and a version of AST that knows to fail if KMS
is bound to the driver. These GPUs are commonly found
in server chipsets.
