Hi,

I've just installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my new laptop: Toshiba Satellite C855-10M. I'm satisfied with it, but I found the following problem. When I try to shutdown the computer with the menu item Shutdown or with console command shutdown -P now or halt, then instead of shutdown the computer reboots. Under windows 7 the computer does shutdown. I tried out the acpi=noirq AND/OR acpi:osi="Linux" kernel parameterS but they do not help. I tried out the acpi=off param, and then I see that the last message is System will halt now. An important thing that this happens only if the power cable is plugged in, if it is removed then the computer shutdown perfectly. In the bios every wake up functionality is switched off, but as I said under windows 7 none of the bios setting caused any problem and under ubuntu does not solved this issue. Please help me what I can do here to avoid this strange behaviour. I've checked the solutions for similar errors, but those solutions were not working for me and as I said this behaviour occurs only the case if electric cable is plugged in.

Thanks and regards,
Mark
