I have a Dell XPS 13 with Sputnik Ubuntu installed, and I added the private repo and updated my Linux kernel to

Linux xps 3.2.0-32-generic #51+kamal11~DellXPS-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 9 17:38:00 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I had the wifi problems reported above. After about 1 minute or so of normal connectivity, the wifi connection would get slow and ping would report frequent lost packets. This occurred on different WiFi networks I tried.

I tried the patch suggested above:

sudo modprobe -r iwlwifi
sudo modprobe iwlwifi 11n_disable=1

And I also made it persistent in /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf

This seems to fix the wifi reliability issues somewhat, but after about 10 minutes connected on any wifi network, the connection starts slowing, pausing, and dropping packets.

Usually disconnecting from the wifi network and then reconnecting to the same network will restore normal a wifi connection. But then after a few minutes the problems will reappear.

If I connect my Dell XPS 13 to my iPhone via USB and use the iPhone as a WiFi modem that way, I don't experience the problems I just described.
