Comment 4 for bug 1034338

Joseph, I haven't actually installed 12.10a3 on the iMac yet, though I may do that in the next couple of days. Don't I need to have it installed in order to install the latest kernel? My testing so far was only on the LiveCD boot, which boots on 12.10 with acpi=off, but didn't boot at all with 12.04 release version.
