Bug Description

SRU Justification

The upstream process for stable tree updates is quite similar
in scope to the Ubuntu SRU process, e.g., each patch has to
demonstrably fix a bug, and each patch is vetted by upstream
by originating either directly from Linus' tree or in a minimally
backported form of that patch. The 3.0.38 upstream stable
patch set is now available. It should be included in the Ubuntu
       kernel as well.

The following patches are in the 3.0.38 stable release:

hwmon: (it87) Preserve configuration register bits on init
block: fix infinite loop in __getblk_slow
media: dvb-core: Release semaphore on error path dvb_register_device()
mtd: nandsim: don't open code a do_div helper
ARM: SAMSUNG: fix race in s3c_adc_start for ADC
intel_ips: blacklist HP ProBook laptops

Input: xpad - add Andamiro Pump It Up pad
tcp: drop SYN+FIN messages
cfg80211: check iface combinations only when iface is running
ntp: Fix leap-second hrtimer livelock
ntp: Correct TAI offset during leap second
timekeeping: Fix CLOCK_MONOTONIC inconsistency during leapsecond
time: Move common updates to a function
hrtimer: Provide clock_was_set_delayed()
timekeeping: Fix leapsecond triggered load spike issue
timekeeping: Maintain ktime_t based offsets for hrtimers
hrtimers: Move lock held region in hrtimer_interrupt()
timekeeping: Provide hrtimer update function
