Description: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Release: 12.04
Installed Alongside Windows 7 OS
I expect the system to power off when using the shutdown commands and GUI (WM_CLASS(STRING) = "gtk-logout-helper", "Gtk-logout-helper")
Using the shutdown commands in terminal and dialog interfaces only cause my laptop to restart
The only way so far I have found that I can shut down my laptop is to press and hold the power button during reboot (Unsafe) or load other OS to do the restart.
I have attached as much information as I can. If there is any thing else you need, let me know!

Toshiba Satellite L775D - S7108
Description: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Release: 12.04
Installed Alongside Windows 7 OS
Installed as seperate partition on same hard disc drive
I expect the system to power off when using the shutdown commands and GUI (WM_CLASS(STRING) = "gtk-logout-helper", "Gtk-logout-helper")
Using the shutdown commands in terminal and dialog interfaces only cause my laptop to restart
The only way so far I have found that I can shut down my laptop is to press and hold the power button during reboot (Unsafe) or load other OS to do the restart.
WORKAROUND: My laptop shuts down properly when my AC adapter is NOT plugged in and running on battery power only.
