Bug Description

I have a touchscreen, Pixart Imaging, Inc., who doesn't work with Ubuntu 12.04.
I've also test it with my laptop with 11.10 and there it works right away.

I think this bug is strongly related with a other bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/998546
I've installed kernel 3.4.0 who was descibed there on a testing magine.
It did break the nVidia driver, but the touch screen works richt away.

Erik Krom, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, the next step is to perform a kernel bisect from Oneiric to Precise, in order to identify the offending commit(s). Could you please do this following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBisection ?

Thank you for your understanding.

Sorry I was sutch quiet. I didn't get that I has to do the bisection. So thanks for the information.
The first try failed, Do I have first to install the kernel for bisection?

Erik Krom, what would be required is a reverse bisect, or finding the commit(s) that fixed the problem. Is this something you could do following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBisection ?
