Comment 61 for bug 1007765

Hello,

I have been an Ubuntu user for the past 4 years but since the launch of ubuntu 12.04 and this bug on my Dell Studio 1558...i have to log into windows...

If I change the screen brightness continuously a few times, the screen freezes and computer does not respond...
I have tried Kubuntu 12.04, Xubuntu 12.04, Ubuntu 12.04, Lubuntu 12.04, Linux Mint 13, OpenSUSE but had this problem with every OS owing to some issue with the KERNEL.

I would also like to state that Ubuntu 11.10 works like a charm and being a KDE user, I want to update to the latest version of KDE because of so many bug fixes and new features...

In the end, I just hate this stupid Dell Studio 1558....hopefully someone can resolve the kernel bug soon :)
