Many, many thanks to all who posted fixes for this issue. I'm sure glad I encountered it on a test system before trying to upgrade a production box.
I have 2 systems running Dapper LTS server currently, and one that I've just put into service which is running Hardy. This morning I noticed that there was a new upgrade for locales for the Dapper systems but not for the Hardy. Has the origin of this "bug" been detected and has it been fixed so that the system upgrades will work?
Is there any way to determine when the problem has been resolved (so that the "work around" is unnecessary?)
