"Boot with -14" is not a good solution for me, because the installer FORCED ME to delete -14 and leave only -15 since for some reason installing Gutsy requires 62.5MiB free on boot (which I have as a separate partition with only 80MiB).

Hopefully all my killall of all the locale related things did the trick and I will be able to reboot my system...

But gosh, how did such a HUGE bug find it's way into 7.10 and stay open for so long? There should at least be an error message blocking proceeding when trying to update a -15 kernel 7.10 to 8.04 update.

And why does the new kernel stuff suddenly need 62,5MiB of free space on boot? That is an insane increase (7.10 -15 kernel takes 15-20 MiB).
