I tested this on the T20 with 8.10-alpha 3, no software updates (yet).

When running the "recovery" boot option, power off works.

But with the normal boot (no options or menu selections) the last lines show:

* Will now halt
halt: Unable to iterate IDE devices: No such file or directory
[ 2750.069356] System halted.
