I was using Ubuntu server with kernel 2.6.24 and WoL works, now with kernel 2.6.27 it doesn't work.

Using "echo enabled > /sys/..." works for me. My netcard is an Intel Corporation 82557/8/9/0/1 Ethernet Pro 100 (rev 0c), so e100 driver might be patched too...
