After some upgrades, I can confirm that using Kubuntu Intrepid beta (kernel is 2.6.27-7-generic) I can wake up my system if I manually use ethtool, acpitool and echo "enabled" to wakeup for my NIC under /sys/bus/... and then call a modified halt command.
Since I can wake up from S5 after halting linux, but I can't wake my computer after I pulled the cord and re-aattached it again, I'm guessing my BIOS is no good?
Now I know that I'm doing something right so I will try the new patches again.

However, I have had no such luck with waking from S3 though. I use "pmi action suspend" to put my box to sleep. Does anyone know how to tell the pmi command not to bring interfaces down? Is there a better command altogether? Bruno, what command do you use to put your box into S3?
