I'm experiencing the same lock-ups.
Always when FireFox 2.0.0.8 is active, and by active i mean it is currently getting data from a site or when the page is being scrolled with scroll bars.

I experience lock-ups irrespective of NTFS-3g being loaded or not.

AMD64 X2 4200
4Gb RAM
ASUS A8N-SLI board
Nvidia 7300GS gfx
1 SATA drive
2 PATA CDroms
