Hi, I just try to install the new Ubuntu 9.04 on my machine (where I regularly use a Debian unstable/sid with a 2.6.29 vanilla kernel recompiled by myself without any problem) and I have a similar problem with the forcedeth driver.

I can't find no way to make it works.

Once the driver is loaded, i get these messages in the log files:

No led blinks neither in the motherboard network plug or in the router port.

Any hint?
