Same problem with custom system. Motherboard is ABIT IP35-E bought straight from Fry's Electronics. W/JMicron JMB368 IDE Controller. Attached are lspci and dmidecode outputs.

Also, I can't seem to add irqpoll as a default option for the kernels in menu.lst with kopt :( Grub doesn't seem to respect it.
