I have intel dual core E6600 and i read also https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/powernowd/+bug/124618
but the problem persisting:

 * Starting powernowd... /etc/init.d/powernowd: 156: cannot create /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor: Directory nonexistent
 * CPU frequency scaling not supported
