Just purchased a new Shuttle PC, SA76G2 with an AMD 760G chipset. Tried to boot from an Ubuntu 9.04 USB stick. Failed. Tried to boot from a USB CDROM with a 9.04.2 CD. Failed.

Finally, I went into the BIOS, set it to have "All of USB device operated on full/low speed mode" (quote from the manual).

USB stick booted first time, and I was able to install Ubuntu without errors. It was slow, but no errors.

This bug with high speed USB storage devices is a big issue. If I was not an expert and hadn't known about the bug, I don't know how long it would have taken to diagnose this install problem.
