Hi,

Pardon my ignorance but I posted in one of these bug threads ages ago and have been getting the updates ever since and reading them to see how the issue is coming along.

My ignorant question is:

If disabling auto suspend fixes the problem then is there a way to script it so when a transfer is starting (or when a USB 2.0 device is plugged in), autosuspend is disabled and then have it reloaded when the devices are ejected (or unplugged or inactive for a period of time).

The reason I ask is I don't believe any user is going to want to autosuspend while transferring files or working with a USB 2.0 device. It could probably be declared a feature to prevent users from accidentally entering auto suspend mid transfer.
