Robert: On my Laptop, some ports are working and some do produce the
problem. I suspect this is due to some ports being native USB ports and
others being wired as internal USB hub ports.
You might want to check, if this is the case for your setup as well.
Some dev could go ahead and tell us, how we can determine, which ports
are direct native USB ports and which ones are internal hubs. There must
be a way to find that out, to verify my theory.
