The most annoying thing that this has worked in Edgy Eft. It broke in Feisty, then it's still broken in Gutsy.

My only 'workaround' was to either:
1. unplug the USB device from my USB hub and plug it directly into my machine, skipping the HUB. But I need the HUB because I have many USB devices
2. unload the ehci module (thereby losing USB 2.0 speed, back to good old slow USB 1.0/1.1)
