Anyway, I've recently bought this laptop, exact same issue. Had trouble dual booting with Vista so wiped the whole hard drive and installed pure ubuntu. No sound and no wireless and no modem. Sound would be good, the latter two would be brilliant (i move around a lot, havn't had the ability to sign up to any broadband contract hence dialup)
