I just want to check something. Are the drives that are being renamed connected to the motherboard using PATA or SATA cables?

Interestingly your newest /proc/interrupts shows that the IDE controller is no longer sharing an interrupt with the USB controller...
On another note, could you clean up the description of this bug a bit?
