System HardDisk SATA Model Number: Maxtor 6B200M0 Firmware Revision: BANC1BY0.

with kernel 2.6.20-16-generic I had to use irqpoll option to boot and the sata HD is seen as /dev/hdg.

with kernel 2.6.20-15-generic no problem at all, the PC was working perfectly well and the sata HD was seen correctly as /dev/sda.
