Can you please provide the following information:
1. Attach the output of the steps described in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingHardwareDetection to this bug report.
2. What brand and model is your mouse. How is your mouse connected to your PC: PS/2, USB, wireless, ...
3. Attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log to this bug report.
