Yes, i've read it, as i started it logged in as kalimotxo ;). And i've tried and works but it's not a real solution since you have to do that workaround everytime you boot your pc. Have you tried it?

In this report there is more information, the status of the bug is confirmed also, and think that the ubuntu kernel team is working hard in fixing it already.

I dont know if that kind of chipset (SIS) is very common here in Spain, anyway i wouldnt like to change to another distro, i loved Ubuntu since the first day i tryed. (sorry about my english too ;))
