Séverin, i'm closing this bug report ass Won't Fix, mainly because the IPW3945 module was deprecated by upstream some time ago (http://ipw3945.sourceforge.net/)

So if your suspend/hibernate problem is caused by the ipw3945, or if you're still using ipw3945 please migrate your system to iwl3945. Check this page for reference (take into account is a bit old, so it doesn't apply completely but you can use it as a guide).

Also if you're still having trouble with suspend resume, please check https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/SuspendResumeTesting/Feedback and look for your test results for your model. If not there, please check https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/SuspendResumeTesting and open a new bug as described there.
