Thanks for the response. Sorry to hear the issue has become a bit worse :( Would you be willing to test the latest pre-release of Jaunty 9.04 (currently Alpha3) - http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/jaunty/ . It contains a newer 2.6.28 based kernel. You should be able to at least test suspend (not hibernate) via a LiveCD. Thanks.
