Same problem, also, when finally logging into gnome, the keyring-login appears for a very short time, and then minimizes back to the lower bar, without me being able to open it back up again. However, after just typing my keyring password into thin air, my network interface suddenly connects to the network. That's odd, isn't it? Possible solution: I think the wep- or wpa-passkey should not be kept in the keyring, as it can't be accessed during boot-time. That's causing the startup delay, and the problem while logging into gnome.
