I have this same issue on a D620. This seems like a fairly serious issue to have been open for so long. Does anyone know if there is any development time going into fixing this issue?

The command sudo iwpriv eth1 set_mode 4 seems to temporarily help. Seems like that would be a decent foothold to beginning fixing this problem.
