Currently, after updates done to edgy on 9/9/06, syslogd and klogd are eating up all CPU cycles. The system is extremely sluggish. Once these processes are killed, everything runs fine. Dmesg reports a ton of errors with the i915 graphics adapter, which are mostly variations of:
