I downgraded Ubuntu to Edgy on my Toshiba but still the bug persisted, It seems that the original version I used: Dapper, then online upgrade to Edgy did not cause USB Problems, it seems a fresh install of Edgy and Feisty makes the bug appear. I have no time for USB bugs and waiting for solutions, so for now I am running Sidux on my laptop.
