Comment 48 for bug 8050

Regarding Debian alsa-driver releases ...

We released 1.0.8-2 yesterday. It includes code to set reasonable
mixer levels in case "alsactl restore" does not succeed, plus a number
of other improvements.

Unfortunately I introduced bug #291942 which will necessitate a -3
release before too long. The changes required to fix #291942 are
minor and I don't plan to make any other big changes in -3.
