I got this issue in the past on i386, too (it always worked on powerpc and
amd64). But now I just installed today's breezy/i386 CD and it works fine. I
tested the default 386 and the k7 kernel, various configurations of my USB
sticks, and an audio CD, a data CD, and a DVD. Can you please check if you still
get the bug? Maybe by trying the latest live CD or installing the latest daily?
