I think it is a bug. The only thing I see, is if I want to do computer music, I install the linux-rt kernel, and when I start on it, Xorg is crashing if I have previously installed the nvidia-restricted-drivers (which are proposed by ubuntu on first boot).

For now, it is impossible to do computer music easily on Ubuntu for people which has an nvidia card. We have no informations when X is crashing, and what we should do.

I already tried to play with nvidia driver sources in the past, recompiled it with the linux-rt kernel, etc. There was a lot of problems, I had to purge a lot of packages (all related with nvidia, like restricted-modules, which was a problem because it was disabling also other restricted drivers) Then the drivers was not working anymore. It is not a clean and easy way to have the linux-rt working.

I really need the nvidia restricted drivers to work because I would like to use the twinview function to do computer music.

Perhaps I should use Ubuntu Studio, but I think it is a shame to have to install two OS just for this problem.
