Comment 8 for bug 218345

Unfortunately, we did not get 8.4 in for 8.04. Principally this was due to the lateness of things, and the release team being uncomfortable slotting in a new binary package at the last minute, but also because there didn't seem to be many strong motivating factors (bugs fixed, etc.)

8.04.1 is coming up, which presents another opportunity to upgrade fglrx (8.5?) that we'll look into.
