Thanks...did you just add

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/tjaalton/ubuntu hardy main

to your sources.list, run apt-get update, and then install the packages? Can you be more specific on the packages you installed? Did you install xorg-driver-fglrx-tdfx? linux-restricted-modules? Firmware?
