is set to None. Otherwise, the effects are pretty, but the computer does not
suspend/hibernate. Do settings in Visual Effects tab have *anything* to do with
compiz? (I never installed compiz, but compiz is a valid shell command)
On a separate note, installing xserver-xgl package makes things
worse: computer freezes upon logout. So, I have it uninstalled now.
Some other observations: mplayer plays well in both x11 and xv; Google
Earth works smoothly; fgl_glxgears says: "4683 frames in 5.0 seconds = 936.600 FPS"
