steky45: It still doesn't work on my T60p with ATI Technologies Inc M56GL [Mobility FireGL V5200].

When I tried kernel 2.6.22-14.47, fglrx 8.443.1 and jkyamog's settings it did not suspend properly on my T60p. Before suspend I captured the fglrxinfo output:

display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: ATI MOBILITY FireGL V5200
OpenGL version string: 2.1.7170 FireGL Release

What works properly is an old Feisty kernel, 2.6.20-16.32, with fglrx 8.40.4-1. Using fglrx 8.443.1 with that kernel was terribly slow for some reason.
