You would be surprised. Sometimes you ask and you never hear anything back again. It take time for me to to go through bugs too...

So far so good. Everything looks in order but clearly something must be wrong from your earlier comments.

What is the output of:
dpkg -l nvidia\* | grep ii
ls -al /lib/linux-restricted-modules/
sudo modprobe nvidia
dmesg | tail
and can you also upload a
/var/log/Xorg.0.log
after an attempt to use the binary driver (if you start X again then it will be put in /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old)?
