Good point but could it be that the asynchronous delay is over 3 minutes, as it
seems to be in this case? Or something else is running in parallel that triggers
the event?

Initially I also discussed a possible reason with Magnus. I received a claim some
weeks ago that resizing a hibernated partition can cause problem. Unfortunately I
didn't have time to investigate this case yet deeply but I don't doubt Windows
could
create a mess when it wakes up. However I'm a bit surprised that the consistency
check
can't detect hibernation, though no explicite check implemented for this case
yet. As
a related note, Magnus confirmed that his Windows wasn't hibernated during resizing.
