I just compiled that new driver (04/09), and it seems to work OK on Hardy. Still some warnings during compilation, though.

Having a look at modinfo, it seems that the driver is being developed by Andrea Merello - andreamrl [AT] tiscali.it. Maybe it is worth pointing him to this bug, so we can get the latest code as he develops it?
